Insurance & Pricing Information
Regardless of the provider you see, our office is considered in-network with Aetna and select plans of United Healthcare/Oxford.
For all other insurance plans, our office is considered out-of-network, or self-pay. As a courtesy, we will submit a claim to your insurance company on your behalf. However, this is not a guarantee that you will be reimbursed.
Please see below for more information on your specific type of insurance.
Aetna
We are considered in-network with most Aetna, including, but not limited to:
Meritain
Nippon
Allied
We are considered out-of-network with:
Aetna plans for employees of the United Nations (which do not include lactation benefits)
Aetna plans associated with Medicaid or the NYS Marketplace
United Healthcare
We are considered in-network with many United Healthcare plans, including, but not limited to:
UHC Oxford- Freedom
UHC Choice
UHC Choice Plus
Student Resources
UMR
Surest
We are considered out-of-network with:
UHC Oxford- Liberty
UHC Oxford- Metro
UHC Oxford- Compass
UHC Oxford- Community
any UHC plans associated with Medicaid or the NYS Marketplace
NYSHIP
We are considered out-of-network with NYSHIP, which means you must pay out-of-pocket for your visit. However, we will submit all the necessary paperwork to the insurance company on your behalf so that you may be able to get direct reimbursement.
While there are no guarantees, and everything is plan specific, generally speaking, our NYSHIP patients get 100% REIMBURSEMENT for all office, home, and telehealth visits.
Google Employees
We are considered out-of-network with Google’s Anthem plan which means you must pay out-of-pocket for your visit. However, we will submit all the necessary paperwork to the insurance company on your behalf so that you may be able to get some direct reimbursement.
Our experience with Google employees up until 2026 was that they always received 100% reimbursement, regardless of whether or not their out-of-network deductible had been met.
However, since January 2026, we have seen some Anthem/Google plans count our visits towards the deductible, rather than reimbursing. As such, we recommend you reach out directly to your insurance carrier and/or HR department to verify your lactation coverage details.
Anthem BCBS & Cigna
We are considered out-of-network with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield & Cigna plans, which means you must pay out-of-pocket for your visit. However, we will submit all the necessary paperwork to the insurance company on your behalf so that you may be able to get some direct reimbursement.
While there are no guarantees, and everything is plan specific, generally speaking these patients get 70-100% REIMBURSEMENT for office, home, and telehealth visits, as long as they have out-of-network benefits and have met their out-of-network deductible for the year.
Other Insurance Plans
For all other insurance plans, we are considered out-of-network. Unfortunately, we do not generally have success getting our patients reimbursed who have the following plans:
Emblem/GHI
1199 SEIU
all NYS marketplace plans
all Medicaid plans
If you have a Medicaid plan, you may be eligible for payment assistance for one visit through NYLCA’s Atlas Fund
